Pop Tart House

This is a version of a "gingerbread house" that we make at our house every year. I don't remember where the recipe came from, but I think it's cuter than the store bought version.

Start with a pile of candy, some Pop Tarts, and some frosting.  Basics: 10 Frosted Pop-Tarts with Sprinkles, Ready made frosting, frosted shredded wheat cereal, & candy.

Place 4 Pop Tarts in the bottom of a lined gift box.

Ice between tarts to glue together. Cut top corners diagonally off the tarts--only cut two corners.

Pipe the frosting on all outside edges with the cut corners facing up. Do not frost the bottom.

Apply frosting along the edge and roof the house.

Thatch the roof using frosted shredded wheat cereal and frosting.

Decorate with leftover Halloween candy or buy whatever floats your boat.
